MRI magnet ramp-up
Deliver Medical provides professional services for ramping up or restoring the magnetic field to the required operating frequency of an MRI system. We ensure proper magnetic field energization, stabilization of the cryogenic system, and preparation of the MRI system for further safe and reliable operation.
Deliver Medical has the required power supplies available in its own warehouse stock.
What is this service?
MRI magnet ramp-up is a specialized service procedure in which the MRI system’s superconducting magnet is gradually energized to its required nominal magnetic field strength.
During the ramp-up procedure, the current in the superconducting magnet windings is increased in a controlled manner, while key cryostat parameters, such as pressure and electrode temperature, are continuously monitored by an MRI service engineer.
When is it required?
- After the installation of a new MRI system or relocation of an existing system to another site.
- Following cryogenic service work and refilling the magnet with liquid helium.
- Following maintenance or service of the magnet’s cryogenic and cooling systems.
- After a loss of magnetic field or a quench — a sudden loss of superconductivity in the magnet.
What you get
-
Restoration of the magnetic field to the required operating field strength.
-
Stable and controlled magnet operation.
-
Verification of key cryostat parameters upon completion of the service work.
-
MRI system readiness for safe and reliable operation.
